Abigail is growing so fast! The outfit she has on in this picture is a one-time wear because she is so long it would not allow for her to stretch her legs all the way out. Also in this picture she has discovered a new toy that she really loves! It was so wonderful to see her face light up in a big smile when this toy lit up and started to play music.
Abigail is still off the charts with her growth, but this is normal for her. She is longer than Emma was at this point. In this picture Abby is more than half the length Emma was at her first birthday which was 31 inches. Due to her length we even had to raise her exersaucer! She can move around in it and enjoys it for longer periods of time each week.
Abigail has been rolling over for about a month now. She has been holding her head up since the day she was born. She has been trying to get into the crawling position and when she can she gets frustrated, so she does the arm crawl a little instead. She can hold things, she grabs at things, she kicks all the time, she really loves movement. She tracks objects really well, when she hears our voice she looks for us, and when we call her name she responds.
Abigail is also making a tone of new sounds and we even hear her trying to say Dada. So it looks like she to will have her first word be Dada. She is very loud and will let you know when she is upset by trying to crack your ear drums, but overall she is a really happy baby.
Abigail is also like Emma at this age by fighting nap time! Abby really does not nap for long periods of time at all. She would rather be awake and taking in everything that is happening around her. No wonder we can't get many things done, she wants to be entertained and interacted with, Emma has really been stepping up in this role by playing with her sister.
These are just a few of the highlights and we will try to post a bit more often. Hope you enjoy the updates : )

Emma 26 Month Update (2 years, 2 months)
We are working on potty training here at the house and at daycare. She is improving each day. We look forward to the day we don't have to order pull ups anymore. We are taking it slowly and not rushing her, we know that each child is unique and will reach their goals in their own time. We hear of how other people use candy or other types of treats to encourage potty training, but from our research and the advice of our pediatrician we will not be doing that. Nana made her a chart and we bought stickers so we are trying that right now.
Emma is a very active little girl and likes to go outside. With all the hot weather we have had she has been unable to play outside when she would like. But we are able to play games inside, sing, dance, and she still enjoys Mickey Mouse Club House.
Emma is getting taller and starting to shed some of her baby weight. She is becoming more independent all the time. She is wearing a size 4T due to height, she has some growth room and that saves us from having to buy more clothing in a couple of months. She is also wearing a size 8 shoe for toddlers, we realized at our last shopping trip that she will soon be in regular kids sized shoes by summer.
Emma can follow directions easily, she puts her toys away, likes to clean, and is a great helper around the house. She enjoys sweeping, vacuuming, and trying to dust. She knows the location of the trash can and puts stuff in it when she is asked to do so. She cleans up after herself when she eats by placing her items in the kitchen sink. She puts her own dirty laundry in her hamper and puts her shoes away as soon as we get home. It is wonderful seeing these parts of her personality developing.
Emma picks up on new words all the time. She talks for longer periods of time, she will ask questions, she will answer questions, she counts past 15, and she call say all of her ABC's. She likes to color and is starting to show more of her creative side.
These are just a few things about our Emma Elizabeth that we get to see all the time, just wanted to share them with our family.

Crafty Creations
This outfit was made for Abigail's upcoming 5 month pictures. I found this fabric over two years ago and had a blanket made for Emma. I used the rest on this adorable dress. My neighbor made if for me and I made the matching bow.
These cute bows are for some upcoming pictures of the girls. I love the daycare they are attending. We have fall pictures coming, they take them separate and then they take some sibling shots! So I will get some really wonderful shots of both my girls!

9/16/11 Fabulous Friday
Super Cute Girls
We try and take pictures as often as possible and this happened to be before going to work on 8/24. Ray dressed Abigail in this adorable outfit that we received from my friend April.
Emma and Abby getting ready to go to school in some super cute outfits! My girls look great, just like their Momma : ) These outfits are from their Nana and Poppa. Nana keeps them in the latest fashions, I think the highlight of her day is when she is clothes shopping for the girls.
Abigail wearing this beautiful soft outfit picked out by her Poppa! She was given this at her shower before she was born. She really enjoyed playing with the different layers of the outfit.

Abigail in her Exersaucer
Abigail Grace Pheris is growing so fast! She is only four months old and already she can move herself around in this exersaucer. Abby will even stand up in it for short periods of time. She has been rolling over for a month now and she prefers to sleep on her belly just like her Daddy. We were all on the floor playing in her room as a big family and she was trying to get her body positioned for crawling! Ray and I were told that her milstones for these things would happen sooner than Emma's because Abby has an older sibling to model things for her.

Cute Clips
These are a few of the new clips that I made for the girls. I am learning how to re-purpose items into super cute clips, bows, decor, etc... It helps to save money and feed the creative side of my personality that I get from my Mom.
Great Grandparents
The girls have even gotten some quality time with their Great Grandparents. Maw and Grandpa Chesser are Nana's parents.

For the Love of My Sister I Pray
Dear Lord,
You know her so much better than I do, you know the burden she carries. You also know her heart. Lord, I ask you to be with her now, let your will be done in her life.
Lord, I pray for her just as your Word tells me to pray, for healing. I believe you hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful because of your promise. I have faith in you to heal her, but I also trust in the plan you have for her life.
Lord, I don't always understand your ways. I don't know why things happen, but I know everything happens for a reason. I ask that you look with mercy and grace toward her. Pleas provide her with guidance, wisdom, comfort, and healing.
Let her feel your presence so that she knows your with her, so that she can gain strength to deal with what will come.
Amen.

Abby at 4 Months Old
Abby is now 4 months old! It is hard to believe how fast time is flying by. Her growth is still off of the charts. She measured in at 16 lb. 6 oz. and 27 inches long, which puts her in the 99th percentile for both! People are amazed at how strong she is already. When she has belly time she is trying to crawl, but can't get her legs to cooperate, so she lifts her legs in the air and tries to pull herself along like some kind of extreme exercising! She hasn't succeeded in her attempts at scooting just yet, but she can roll herself from her back to her belly at will and is working on pushing herself up to a crawling position.
