Happy Birthday Ray!
Ray does not make a big deal of his special day, but does a great job of making others feel super special on theirs, so with his birthday falling on Easter this year we were able to have a gathering with extended family and celebrate both! We all had a wonderful time, the girls really enjoyed getting to hang out with their cousins and play with their Dad. With Abby not feeling that great Saturday, then the rain on Sunday, we were unable to do everything we wished to celebrate his birthday. We will pick up where we left off with some more fun in the sun hopefully this weekend : ) coming up to finish celebrating his special day.
Easter 2013
We had a very happy Easter, and we hope you all did too! We celebrated by spending time with family, eating good food, and then getting in a late nap to appease the princesses. We were afraid that the day might have been hampered because Abigail was sick yesterday, but she was a trooper and all smiles for most of the day! As you can see, the Easter Bunny brought us all kinds of goodies!

Galveston 2013
We had a really wonderful time with our girls at the beach and look forward to going back soon! They both enjoyed running in and out of the water, playing in the sand, looking at the shells, and riding on their Dada's shoulders. These memories we make are so sweet and precious, they will last a lifetime.
Sooo Tasty!
This is just one of the tasty, delicious, mouth watering meals that my WONDERFUL husband has cooked over the last three weeks! Due to some medical issues and wanting to make a change for the better and some guidance from a new doctor we have decided to change up and explore some different foods. With me being born in Louisiana and Ray and I both loving Cajun food it is of no surprise that you would see this, but Ray made this 100% by himself including the seasoning and spread on the bread!
Ray has also made the following meals:
Chicken and Crab Gumbo
Flank Steak with Mushrooms and Roemary
Baked Beef Ziti
Asian Mushroom Stir-Fry
Chicken with Mushrooms and White Wine
Pepperoni Pizza Potato Skins
Tenderloin Steaks with Horseradish Mustard Sauce
Italian Skillet Chicken
Cuban-Style Shredded Beef and Rice
Pan Fried Tilapia with White Wine and Capers
By doing this he has given me a break from cooking and has been able to enjoy himself in the kitchen again. We both enjoy cooking and are really good at it, but with his old job he did not have much time to devote to creating tasty and healthy meals. Through us both cooking and trying new things it is also allowing for the girls to do this as well. Abby is our good eater and will try to eat anything, it is Emma we have to try harder with and there is a limited variety of what she is willing to eat. We are having fun with each other and the girls in the kitchen as we create new and tasty meals to have a Happy and Healthy Family in 2013!!
Zeth's 9th Birthday
So you see it was Zeth's birthday, but really it was Abby's cake, or so she thought! We made Zeth a chocolate cake with chocolate icing covered in chocolate M&M's and Abby would not leave it alone. She climbed up in the chairs to climb up on the table just to get to the cake! We would move her away and she would cry. We would move the chairs away from the table and she would move them back and start the climbing process all over again! So to make our precious girl happy I would dip the M&M's in the icing and give her one at a time until her cousin showed up and she finally got to have her own piece of the cake! When she realized the cake got to go home with the birthday boy she cried until she realized her Dada had made another cake!
