Today we celebrated as a family with just us three together. It started off with Emma waking us up around 4:30 a.m. and going back to sleep with us in our room like she did when she was a newborn. Breakfast at IHOP was great! She got to have a pancake with whipped cream. Two very nice men sitting next to us commented on how cute she was and both wished her a Happy Birthday. Before we left she was greeted by the manager and admired by more people and wished Happy Birthday again.
Once breakfast was over it was to Kroger's, where Ray let her pick out her own flowers for her birthday, then to Card and Party Factory to pick up her order of Princess Balloons for her photo shoot at 12:00.
It was a fast track up for all of us to change and gather all three outfits, props for the pictures, and some snacks in case she needed a little something while taking her photos. The session at Specialties Photography took an hour and it was great. Emma was wonderful the entire time, and this was without her morning nap.
After pictures were done, we packed up and got ready to start the next part of our celebration. Our little Sweet Pea fell asleep in the truck. We picked up her cake from the Green House Bakery and headed home, where she woke up and had a hard time getting back to sleep.
As we all three laid down to take a nap, the door bell rang not once, but twice. The 1st delivery was from the Petal Patch with a special delivery of flowers from Nana and Poppa. The 2nd was not even 15 minutes later, and it was a present that Ray had ordered her a week ago to let her use her imagination and creativity.
We ended our celebrations with dinner at Johnny Carino's, where Emma shared my meal with me and drank from a cup using a straw with no problems. She did try to chew on it some, but our girl is cutting more teeth so that is to be expected. We then came back to the house and opened her gifts and shared some cake. It has been a wonderful and magical experience getting to celebrate our baby girl's special day!

1 Year Old
It is hard to believe our princess has been here a year already! The parties are done, the cake has been eaten, the presents have been opened. All that is left is to enjoy our girl as she begins her second year! Here is a look back at how much she has changed these past 12 months:
