Aunt Shirley

Aunt Shirley passed away today after a long illness.  She was a very special woman who was like a Mom to my father and took him and his siblings in after my grandfather passed away.  She will be dearly missed!

We are Blessed, We are Thankful

Although we have experienced tragedies this year we still have many things to be thankful for.

We are so thankful for our family and friends who have gathered around us and showered us with their love and support over the past three months.

We are thankful for our jobs, they give us the financial security to help us provide for our family.

We are thanful for our health, although we get our colds, sinus infection, pink eye... we are still thankful that what we do have can be treated and we can overcome our sicknesses.

We are thankful for the happiness that we find in the small things we get to experience on a daily or weekly basis.

We are thankful for our daughters, the light of our lives.



Blessings have come to us through words and acts of kindness, through the love we give and receive, and through our hope and prayers that God grants us.

We our blessed in each other and in our girls.

We are blessed to have a wonderful extended family.

We were blessed to have Mom in our lives.

We are blessed that during different times of the day, week, months, and year that we can recall sweet memories to bring Mom back to us for those brief moments of time.

Beary Silly Girls

Uncle Eric surprised the girls with some teddy bears almost as big as them!  Of course, they loved them and took their place in their already overflowing bed.  Thanks Uncle Eric!

Go Jaguars!

Our nephew Julius plays football for the Beaumont Central Jaguars.  He played football in Baytown last night against Lee, so we got the opportunity to go see him play!  Central dominated Lee, winning 45-7.  Way to go Julius!

Something is Missing...

Emma and Abby spent a few hours at Poppa's house tonight while Brandie and I had a date night.  an hour after we left, we received a phone call saying that Emma felt that her tooth was loose.  A few minutes later, it came out!  She was very excited, because she knows the Tooth Fairy will be coming by for the first time tonight!

Emma's 50's Day

Today was 50's day at Emma's school.  Nana had a poodle skirt she used a few years ago, which made it very special that we were able to use it today with some slight modifications.  It turned out great, and she received a lot of compliments!
