Treats for Teacher

These are just a few of the sweet treats that my students gave to me this month.
I made sure to share these with my fellow colleagues and my students.
I Love being a Teacher!

United Way Chili Cook Off

Ray participated in the City of Baytown United Way Chili Cook Off.  He got together with two of his supervisors and didn't know what to expect going in, as this is the first year any of them participated.  Apparently the departments go all out for this event!  The first three pictures are some of the tables the different departments set up...and the fourth picture is Ray's table.  Needless to say, they are going to step their game up next year now that they know the scale of effort the other departments have put into it!  Their team did not win from the official judges, but all of the employees enjoyed their chili a lot!

Beaumont Trip

We went to Beaumont so the girls could visit their Memaw and cousins and so Kaleb could get yet another birthday celebration.  It was great to see all of the family, and everyone had a fun time.  We ate fried shrimp and dirty rice and finished it off with cake and ice cream.  We don't get to see each other as much as we'd like to, but we always have a great time when we get together.

Emma's Field Trip

Emma got to go on a field trip with her day care to the fire station.  She said she had a really good time and liked seeing the ambulance and fire trucks.  The kids got to see all of the different things the apparatus is used for, got to hear the alert tones go off, and gave the firemen a high five!

Kaleb's birthday

Our nephew Kaleb came over to visit for a belated birthday with us.  As you can see, he received some gifts and celebrated with a cookie treat that he wanted.  He also slept over along with his cousin Zeth.  IT was great getting to spend time with him and celebrate his birthday!

Emma prepares for her bike

Emma has tried to ride her bike a couple of times, and is making a bit of progress.  She knows that she has to get on all of her safety gear before she rides though.  First she has to get her knee pads on, then her elbow pads, and then her gloves.  Lastly, she has to wear her princess helmet and put her baby in the basket on the front of the bike.  She may not be cruising by herself yet, but she looks good doing so!

Our Brazos County 911 Family

We love our Brazos County 911 Family! There are so many memories and I am sure so many more pictures that could be shared. These are just a couple of what I found while looking through some files on the computer.

We were blessed to be surrounded by genuine people who came together to help us when we needed it, who celebrated the birth of both of our girls with us, and who we can still count on in a time of need. We miss you guys!
