Ready for Nana

Saturday we went to meet Nana for lunch so she could give Emma her Valentine's Day gifts from her and Poppa.

This outfit is so beautiful and it is sad to say it is a "one time only" and will be put away today : (

She had a great time and took a nap on the way there and on the way back from seeing Nana.

We love seeing her big bright smile! Lately she has been giving us more serious faces in her photos so Daddy worked his magic for us some smiles with these pictures.

This Beds Just Right

Emma loves to take naps in the big bed in our room on the weekends.

She loves to sleep in her Daddy's spot. Emma snuggles in and holds on to her blanket and falls fast asleep.

Pulling it Down

Emma pulled her entire musical play mat down and towards her. She wiggles, giggles, turns over, and is going backwards a bit now.

She wanted her firefly and got frustrated that she could not reach it so she decided to pull the entire thing down just to get to it. Reggie of course had to be in on the action and watch her every step of the way.

Nap Time with Reggie

Emma feel asleep on her play mat and Reggie curled up next to her to take his.
I realize that if he could have his way he would sleep with her in her crib.

As I moved closer to take a picture he opens his eyes and gives me this mean look indicating that I am interfering with their nap time : )

I am preparing myself for the time to come when we convert her bed and walk in to wake her up and see Reggie next to her on a regular basis.

Emma's Doll

Our beautiful Emma showing off those gorgeous blue eyes of hers! I just want to kiss her all of the time! I can not get enough of her special love.

Emma in her crib playing with her doll as Mommy does her laundry and straightens up her room. Time goes by so quick that the ordinary every day chores get left until the weekend.

Emma getting caught using her doll as a teether and Mommy having to explain that we do not eat our baby dolls. She is a hoot to watch these days as she explores her surroundings more and more each day.

She is smiling at me as she continues to try to eat her baby doll. Emma thinks its funny and laughs at me these days when I try and explain why we can't eat things like dolls or Reggie on a daily basis.

I had to take some pictures as evidence to show Daddy when he got home so he could see how his daughter plays with her dolls. I am sure Poppa will get a kick out of this, while Nana prepares a discussion about proper doll care for little princesses.

Guard Dog

Reggie has been hanging around Emma more and more as she gets bigger. He is on her play mat in the living room as she enjoys a snack and watches t.v. If we do not get to her quick enough when she is upset, you can hear him racing across the house to go and check on her. As she has gotten bigger, Reggie has realized he has another person to pet him and feed him. We have even caught him trying to take the food off of her highchair!

One Time Only

Our Emma on January 29th before we left to go to day care. She was not too happy with having a hat on this morning, but it was really cold outside.

With Emma growing so fast, many outfits have become "one time only" due to her length. Her legs are too long for many outfits.

I love the heart and soft pinks on this outfit. I just wish we could have enjoyed it a little longer.

We no longer buy any clothing made by Gerber because they tend to run smaller than other brands. Our best bet when buy her clothing is to stick with the Carter brand.
