Emma Update

This adorable outfit was picked out by her Dada as all can tell by what the shirt says. Emma enjoying one of her favorite fruits, Banana!

Emma trying a boiled egg for the 1st time. She really enjoyed about half of it before she turned the other half to mush. We have found it hard to get her to eat meat lately, so we are trying other sources of protein.

Emma is trying to figure out how to put on her own shoes this day. I don't know if it is out of curiosity or out of self preservation, since her Dada has put her shoes on the wrong feet more than once this past week!

As you can tell in the pictures, Emma is getting taller and her hair is getting a bit longer with some blond highlights. The majority of the clothing she is wearing in these pictures are 4T and she is wearing a size 6 shoe. She is a very active little girl and does not tolerating having to sit still for any length of time. She takes one 2 hour or 2 1/2 hour nap each day. She really enjoys playing outside, dancing, chasing her dog, playing basketball with her Dada, and still really loves the water. Emma also likes having her hair in a ponytail and wearing bows now. She will come up to you and tell you "bow," informing you that she would like to have her hair done.

We look forward to her getting to know her little sister Abigail soon and enjoy seeing them interact together!

Emma Update

Emma had a rough night last night. Her temp at 1:45 a. m. it was 102.9! :(
Ray took her to the doctor today and she has another ear infection, this one in the left ear, now she has had a total of 3 ear infections. Due to the constant ear infections it increases her congestion and clogs her tear ducts. I am now trying to decided what specialist to take her to.

She is also teething and has been for the last month. We can feel a tooth coming through on the bottom and she has been handling this like a champ.

Then on top of all of this she has the flu!! My poor little girl can not catch a break right now.

So Ray is home with her and I will be with her tomorrow.

Emma Update

We went in for our last ultrasound today. The picture was a bit dark, but if you click on it for the bigger picture you can make out the outline of her face and her puckered lips! Based on their measurements, Emma currently weighs 8 lb. 5 oz. We meet with Dr. Benson tomorrow to determine the best course of action, but we are thinking Emma will be with us sometime next week! :D

Emma Update

We went in for our weekly checkup on Thursday. Dr. Benson said everything looked great and that we would get another ultrasound in 2 weeks to determine her size and whether or not we should expect her to come a little early. I expect her to arrive in around 3 weeks!

Emma Update

We had a checkup on Tuesday and things are looking good. Other than me having a bit of a head cold I am healthy and strong. The doctor gave me some meds and reassured us that all is well with Emma even though her Mommy is sick.

Emma is apparently growing like a glamazon. I am currently 31 weeks but measuring 34 weeks, which puts us three weeks ahead in growth. Emma is already experiencing growth spurts and we anticipate she will go through another one, then many more as she grows. With Ray being at 6 feet 1 inch and my own father being 6 feet 3 inches, we are expecting a very tall daughter, Ray is already bragging that his daughter can dunk! He is the proudest Daddy and is already planning her basketball career.

We will be going back in two weeks for a checkup and to see what type of growth Emma has experienced during that time. So keep looking for updates so you can keep up with her progress!
